Okay, so what is a ‘round of chemo’? Everyone seems to know except me. I went for a chemo treatment once every three weeks at first (for three months) and then I was switched to different drugs which I got once a week (for another 3 months). ......thanks in advance!

Most likely you had 3 months of the cytoxan mix and 3 months of the taxol. The cytoxan is generally given first and the taxotere second. 3 week intervals are standard. I had 2 week intervals called A/C dose dense. Do you know your chemo schedule?

I’m not sure what you are asking about my chemo schedule. It was a total of 6 months and the drugs were what you had mentioned.

To answer your question: a “round’ is every time you go and receive treatment regardless of what you are given. So if you go for treatment once every three weeks and are given one or several kinds of medications each time it is still considered a “round” each time. If you completed treatment and went for 5 treatments over several months, you had 5 “rounds”. Okey dokey?
